"Still in barrel at the time of my visit, the 2018 Crozes Hermitage looks magnificent and should be excellent value for money. The sample from the first parcel (about 40% of the blend) was full-bodied, dark and with saline notes, loaded with asphalt and black olives, but also showing cherry and mocha notes, while the other parcel (60% of the blend) was fresher and brighter , with blueberries and peppery spice. They should complement each other perfectly." (Wine Advocate 2020)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the domain :
Domain a classic from the Mercurol area, which regularly produces supple wines for early drinking. The gaby cuvée is often more ambitious, sometimes with woody notes that are a little too pronounced in certain vintages with little substance. The reds here are more successful than the whites, as our tasting of the 2017s confirms.

Rated (2020 guide) 91-93/100 (Vin Formidable)
Domain rated (guide 2022) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
Still in barrel at the time of my visit, the 2018 Crozes Hermitage looks magnificent and should be excellent value if unaffected by punitive US tariffs. The sample from the first parcel (about 40% of the blend) was full-bodied, dark and saline-toned, loaded with asphalt and black olives, but also showing hints of cherries and mocha, while the other parcel (60% of the blend) was fresher and brighter , with blueberries and peppery spice. They should complement each other perfectly.
RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domain rated (guide 2020) Selected (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the domains that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
Located in Mercurol, the domaine proudly flies the flag for the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, of which it is one of the best, especially for the more ambitious and complex Gaby cuvées.
