This cuvée of Syrah from young vines is an excellent introduction to the subject. Supple and greedy, it's a very expressive bottle, generous in fruit. The attack is frank, ripe fruit expresses itself, supported by harmonious, mellow tannins. A bottle with character, gourmet and easy to drink!

Made from the estate's oldest vines, Crozes Hermitage Cuvée Gaby 2020 is full-bodied, silky and rich, with woody notes, bold flavors of peppery cherries, a velvety-textured finish and ample length. A real beauty! Best left to age for a few more years.

This robust, medium- to full-bodied wine with lively acids and dusty tannins will take time to come into its own. Viale's Syrah comes from parcels near the center of the appellation in Les Beaumes and Les Diognières (also spelled Dionnières)." (Wine Advocate 2022). A great bottle to lay aside for a few years to appreciate its full scope. Elegant and racy!
