"I always enjoy wines from this estate, and the Gigondas Tradition 2021, a classic wine, should be exceptional. With lovely strawberries and assorted red fruits, some peppery notes of garrigue and flowers, medium body, and ripe, polished tannins, it shows the elegant and supple side of the vintage and will be enjoyable to drink right out of the bottle. Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
Among Gigondas' must-haves, Moulin de la Gardette and its ten hectares are an endearing property, run with precision by Jean-Baptiste Meunier. Between the terroirs of Saint-Jean and the Gardette hillside, the old Grenache vines capture the finesse of the limestone marl. There is no showmanship in the cellar, just perfect mastery of the wood by the master of the house. For several vintages now, the estate's wines have displayed remarkable naturalness, with a silky texture and integrated tannins.

Vinous
Wine rated (2023 guide) 90-92/100
About wine:
Shimmering ruby red. Notes of licorice and garrigue complement the aromas of red and black berries. Sapid and energetic on the palate, it offers fresh flavors of black raspberry and sour cherry, as well as smoky mineral notes and exotic spices. The smoky, lingering finish is very clear, with supple tannins and resonant floral and spice notes.
