Produced from a selection of 2 parcels, L'Hermitage 2017 is a complex, aromatic cuvée opening with animal notes mixed with leather, cloves and spices. The palate is full-bodied and structured by a powerful tannic framework, ending on a beautiful spicy persistence. A great bottle to lay aside for a few years to appreciate its full scope. Elegant and racy!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2020 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one has the right to expect from its appellation(s))
About the domain :
Domain a classic from the Mercurol area, which regularly produces supple wines for early drinking. The gaby cuvée is often more ambitious, sometimes with woody notes that are a little too pronounced in certain vintages with little substance. The reds here are more successful than the whites, as our tasting of the 2017s confirms.

Domain rated (guide 2020) Selected (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the domains that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
Located in Mercurol, the domaine proudly flies the flag for the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, of which it is one of the best, especially for the more ambitious and complex Gaby cuvées.
