Lafond Roc-Epine Estate
With his family and winegrowing heritage firmly rooted in Tavel, Jean-Pierre Lafond decided to create his own winery in 1970. His passion for horses inspired him to name the winery after a famous trotter, Roquepine. Lafond Roc-Epine Estate.

With the arrival of his son Pascal, they decided to market all the Domaine's wines: Côtes-du-Rhône, Tavel, Lirac. In 2001, Domaine Lafond Roc-Epine expanded to the other bank of the Rhône with the purchase of 87 ares of vines in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation.

Domaine Lafond Roc-Epine converted to organic farming in 2009. It renounced the use of pesticides, herbicides and other synthetic products. The estate has been officially certified organic since 2012.

Today, three generations work hand in hand at Domaine Lafond Roc Epine, with the arrival of Jean-Baptiste Lafond, Pascal's son.

"A red that calls for a nice piece of grilled beef with friends!

A complex Lirac combining freshness and smoothness, with a ruby-red color and violet tints. A nose of red fruit such as cherry and morello cherry. After a full, firm attack, the palate expresses nuances of spice and supple tannins that persist right through to the finish. A rich wine with excellent length.

"Very good value for money for such a fine gourmet rosé!"

This Grenache (60%), Cinsault (20%) and Syrah (20%) cuvée explodes with complex aromas: red and white fruits combine with floral notes. Over time, these fruity aromas evolve into mellower notes, with hints of spice and stone fruit. From the very first year, it has all its aromas, but has exceptional ageing potential.

"A blend of 70% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre, the 2016 Lirac la Ferme Romaine stands out for its aromas of raspberries and bright cherries tinged with vanilla and cedar. Hints of thyme and laurel add nuance, the full-bodied wine features supple tannins and a long, velvety finish. This is a terrific cuvée from one of the appellation's finest producers." "A classic blend of 80% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre and 10% Syrah. The 2016 Châteauneuf du Pape was bottled just six weeks before tasting at the estate. It's bursting with raspberry and spice notes (30% barrel-aged). Full-bodied, supple and lush, it's also concentrated, rich and velvety, with lingering notes of clove and cinnamon on the finish." (Wine Advocate 2018 - Robert Parker)
