Domaine du Sang des Cailloux
Serge Férigoule worked, expressed and refined his philosophy on his terroir. In 1991, the Domaine du Sang des Cailloux opted for seasonal and plot-specific tillage rather than chemical weeding. This enables us to control the growth of natural grasses. In a similar spirit, compost made from grape marc and cow manure has been substituted for synthetic fertilizers. Throughout the year, the vines are carefully monitored: tying up, disbudding and removing fallen grapes when production is too high. To get the best out of the fruit, only one bunch per bearer is left on the white grape varieties and on the Mourvèdres. The vines of the Domaine du Sang des Cailloux are thinned out according to plot and weather conditions. During manual harvesting, the vines are systematically and rigorously sorted. The construction of the new winery in 2001 has enabled us to refine the work carried out in the vines all year round, thanks to a battery of vats of different volumes.

"Vibrant and sexy, Vacqueyras Cuvée Floureto 2022 dazzles with aromas of violets, black cherry, black plum, garrigue and white pepper. It is made from early-harvested Grenache and Syrah grapes, with small touches of Mourvèdre and Cinsaut, all aged for ten months in old oak foudres. Very soft tannins frame this medium-bodied 2022, with the nervous tension characteristic of winemaker Frédéric Férigoule. The finish is refreshing" (Vinous 2023)

2021 is the year of Azalaïs (each year, this cuvée is named after one of the winemaker's three sisters)! A deep, dark-colored Vacqueyras that reveals a rich, powerful, ripe aromatic palette, with notes of plum, blueberry, spice and hints of fig. A very well-balanced, intense red, with good tannins and good substance, with a long, pleasant finish. A Vacqueyras like we love them!

A pure delight for this very Mediterranean cuvée, 70% Grenache, complemented by Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan and Cinsault. The nose is racy, with aromas of spices and cocoa over a framework of ripe fruit. The palate is silky and balanced. The generous, round finish lingers for a long time. A sure bet!
