"The Vox Angelorum 2020 is a notch above what we find elsewhere. Notes of red and black fruits, with a spicy hint of pepper give way to a big, rich, concentrated wine that has retained lovely acidity and freshness on the palate." (Jeb Dunnuck, 2023)

Diepe robijnrood met paarse kern. Typisch Syrah. Neus: zondoorstoofd donker fruit, bramen, pruimen, bessen. Daarnaast chocolade, kruiden, kreupelhout, zoethout en garrigue. Uitnodigende aroma's. Score: 16+/20

Note and review by M. GILLES D. Published on 08/07/2023

The freshness of Ventoux combined with the sunshine of Provence produce a wine that is admirably sensual and harmonious for a Ventoux. Without being a monster of power, the palate combines beautiful volume, enormous density and incredible softness, graced by very fine acidity and above all supple, caressing tannins with intense flavors of red fruits (plums, cherries, raspberries) and beautiful spices, with a hint of earthiness in the background. The finish is also remarkably smooth, with persistence sustained by freshness and subtle notes, notably of zan. A simple wine, but far from simplistic, with good cellaring potential and an excellent R Q/P pleasure. A delight with baby lamb chops marinated in thyme and lemon, bbq-cooked and accompanied by honey-glazed baby carrots, and little "Banon" to follow. A score of 4.3 without hesitation for this very pleasant discovery.
