From high-altitude plots, Terres Extrêmes expresses freshness with a very Provencal character. The nose of tapenade and garrigue is reminiscent of ancient olive-growing terroirs. On the palate, the fruit is concentrated, with good acidity and smooth tannins. A warm wine, without heaviness. A real success!

Domaine rated (guide 2022) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
François Dauvergne and Jean-François Ranvier are part of a new generation of young Rhône Valley négociants. Deeply involved in the production of their wines, they work with their winemaker friends throughout the year, preserving the expressions of their terroirs. The style is structured without excess, with perfect aromatic definition. The duo continues to evolve, and the range extends from Hermitage in the north to Luberon in the south, via Côte-Rôtie, Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Costières-de-Nîmes, with now even partnerships as far afield as Roussillon! And recently, the adventure has been extended to the Bordeaux region.

About the wine:
Closed, the nose of this 2011 releases subtle notes of hazelnut after swirling. Ripe red fruits, notably strawberry, make their appearance on the palate, also on the reserve, supported by quality tannins, still a little severe. It's best to wait a couple of years before opening this bottle.
About the domain :
Founded in 2004 by François Dauvergne and Jean-François Ranvier, wine professionals who decided to create their own cuvées after working for others, this trading house has asserted itself year after year through quality wines made from parcel selections. In 2013, the two partners took over Dom. des Muretins (tavel and lirac) and in 2014 developed a range of Bordeaux wines in collaboration with Patrice Hateau.

About the wine:
Opening with black fruits, it is full-bodied, with a penetrating, fresh taste and a beautiful overall mellowness.
