Grown on high-altitude plots, Terres Extrêmes expresses freshness with a distinctly Provençal character. The nose of tapenade and garrigue evokes the old olive grove terroirs. On the palate, it develops a beautiful concentration of fruit, enhanced by lovely acidity and mellow tannins. It is a warm wine, without heaviness. A real success!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About the estate:
François Dauvergne and Jean-François Ranvier are part of a new generation of young wine merchants in the Rhône Valley. Deeply involved in the production of their wines, they work with their winemaker friends throughout the year and preserve the expressions of the terroirs. The style is structured without excess, with perfect aromatic definition. The duo continues to evolve, and their range extends from Hermitage in the north to Luberon in the south, including Côte-Rôtie, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Costières-de-Nîmes, and now even includes partnerships as far afield as Roussillon! Recently, the adventure has expanded to Bordeaux.

About wine:
Closed, the nose of this 2011 releases subtle notes of hazelnut after swirling. Ripe red fruits, particularly strawberry, appear on the palate, which is also reserved, supported by high-quality tannins that are still a little harsh. It is best to wait a couple of years before opening this bottle.
About the estate:
Founded in 2004 by François Dauvergne and Jean-François Ranvier, two wine professionals who decided to produce their own vintages after working for others, this wine merchant has gone from strength to strength over the years, producing high-quality wines from selected vineyards. In 2013, the two partners took over the Dom. des Muretins estate (Tavel and Lirac) and in 2014 developed a range of Bordeaux wines in collaboration with Patrice Hateau.
