"Full marks for La Vinsobraise, with three excellent wines in this selection, including the appellation's only Favorite . A blend of Grenache (60%) and Syrah aged in oak for a year, this Cuvée Excellius combines intense vanilla, chocolate and toasty notes with more "natural" nuances of ripe fruit and sweet spices. The palate is majestic, impressive in its volume, concentration and smoothness, supported by silky tannins, perfectly balanced oak and a touch of freshness that brings a welcome kick of nerves to the finish. From high-altitude plots, Terres Extrêmes expresses freshness with a very Provencal character. The nose of tapenade and garrigue is reminiscent of ancient olive-growing terroirs. On the palate, the fruit is concentrated, with good acidity and smooth tannins. A warm wine, without heaviness. A real success!
