"Let's open a jar of raspberry jam!"

"Sine Nomine, but not without personality, far from it. This deep, brilliant Collioure, with its attractive coppery highlights, offers a complex, intense nose of stewed red and black fruits, white pepper, licorice, and cocoa. The palate, in harmony with the bouquet, is full-bodied, dense and rich, supported by elegant, silky tannins and a delicate freshness that gives it renewed vigor on the finish. Already harmonious, this wine has not yet reached its peak." (Le Guide Hachette 2024)

About the estate:

Located in the heart of Collioure, in one of the smallest streets in the town, this estate has been run since 2006 by Laetitia Piétri-Clara, who took over from her mother Maguy. Supported by oenologist Hélène Grau, the winemaker continues the tradition started at the end of the 19th century by her great-grandfather Étienne Géraud, a doctor who returned to the family vineyards. The vineyard covers 20 hectares, mainly in the Banyuls and Collioure appellations.

Wine rated (2024 guide) 90/100

About wine:

Grenache dominates the nose, then on the palate, the pleasant texture and sweetness of the grape variety give this wine its seductive, generous, slightly spicy profile with striking fruit. This wine offers immediate pleasure and the sensuality of southern French reds. (La RVF No. 682, July-August 2024)

Very good value for money for a charming wine that is not without a certain complexity.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 07/01/2024

Roussillon is home to many Gems this dazzling Sine Nomine. A beautiful attack that is as fresh as it is delicious. This is followed by a complexity of jammy black fruits, intertwined with notes of spices, humus, and leather, lining a spherical palate with great depth dominated by its structure. With its surprising sapidity, the graceful texture benefits from tannins that are as powerful as they are refined. A hint of saltiness adds even more personality and depth to the intense and voluptuous finish, especially as it is enriched by a beautifully effective toasted touch. Potential. However, this devilishly charming Collioure is already a delight with duck aiguillettes with black mushrooms and bamboo shoots, served with fragrant rice. Rating = 4.3.
