Hachette
"The upper Agly valley and its black, schistose soils bring finesse and elegance to the wines, while preserving volume and substance, provided they are vinified with mastery. This cuvée is a good example, offering the liquorice finesse of syrah, the gentle roundness of grenache and the elegance of carignan. Carignan, the much-maligned grape variety, serves here as both support and foil for the team. Aromas? The ageing contributes to the palette, which combines cherry brandy, undergrowth and a touch of cocoa". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2017)

About the wine:
The upper reaches of the Agly valley, with its black, schistose soils, bring finesse and elegance to the wines, while preserving their volume and substance, provided they are vinified with mastery. This cuvée is a good example, offering the liquorice finesse of syrah, the gentle roundness of grenache and the elegance of carignan. About the domain :
The Grier family, owners of a vineyard in South Africa renowned for its sparkling wines, set up this 25-hectare estate in the Fenouillèdes region in 2006. They have entrusted the reins to Raphël Graugnard, who brings all his experience to bear in making wines that symbolize the successful union of the Old and New Worlds.
