Galamus 2016 is beautifully mature with a remarkably complex nose complexity where wood and fruit are mutually respectful. respect each other. The palate develops noble, powerful tannins, which, combined with a beautiful roundness, give the wine great fullness. A wine with character!

About the domain :
The Grier family, owners of a vineyard in South Africa renowned for its sparkling wines, set up this 25-hectare estate in the Fenouillèdes region in 2006. They have entrusted the reins to Raphël Graugnard, who brings all his experience to bear in making wines that symbolize the successful union of the Old and New Worlds.

About the wine:
Not yet bottled, the 2016 Galamus is an almost equal blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan, aged in 30% new oak. Notes of toast, cedar and vanilla mark the nose, but there's plenty of rich, velvety fruit to balance things out. It's full-bodied and ripe, bordering on hot and excessive, so drink it as soon as it's released and for the next two years for its hedonistic qualities.
