Domaine Rety
Located in the village of Espira de l'Agly, the Domaine Rety covers an area of 2 hectares facing Mont Canigou, where the vines, with an average age of 20 years, have been planted on the gravelly hilltops of the appellation. This region boasts a wide variety of terroirs, each with its own soils, climates and grape varieties, whose different blends make for unique wines.

There are many contrasts between the rigors of the mountain foothills of the Pyrenees and Massif Central, and the mildness of the Mediterranean coast. The climate is Mediterranean to the extreme, with over 2,500 hours of sunshine a year and little rainfall. Conditions are ideal for the development of vines from the Domaine Rety.

Domaine Rety works in the traditional way, with quality as its guiding principle. Nothing is left to chance to bring out the best in a noble product, the fruit of a respected land.

Three grape varieties have been planted in the Domaine Rety vineyard : Grenache noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre.

Convinced that quality comes from the convergence of nature and man, Patrick Rety listens to the wine he makes and takes the necessary care.

3*Étoile Hachette

(2015 vintage notes)

Floral, L'insolante develops a full, supple body structured by firm tannins. Long and complex, it expresses the freshness of Espira de l'Agly's black schist, right through to the finish.

91/100 Gilbert & Gaillard

"Intense purple hue. Deep nose reveals ripe red fruit, subtle spice notes and a woody background. Astonishing opulence and fruity expression on the palate, balanced by a welcome touch of freshness. Structured and persistent". (Le Guide des Vins 2017 - Gilbert & Gaillard)
