Rated (guide 2022) 15/20 (Good wine)
Domaine rated (2023 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winegrowers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
Jean Pull is a concentrated, robust wine with notes of black fruit and wild pepper, and a pulpy, greedy mouthfeel, despite the 15° temperature.
About the domain :
Domaine des Soulanes was created in 2002 by Cathy and Daniel Laffite, in the Maury area. The couple had previously worked these same terroirs for over ten years, alongside the previous owner, before acquiring part of the property. The vineyards lie at the foot of the rocky peaks dominated by Château de Queribus. The estate's wines express themselves in a fleshy yet fair, energetic and intense style.

Note and review by M. GILLES D. Published on 30/10/2021
An amiable, sappy, full-bodied terroir wine with silky, coated tannins that reveal a lovely dominant of ripe black fruits, with hints of tobacco and smoke. Medium to long tannic finish, peppery and slightly heady. Good RQ/P. Score of 3.7. A wine for sharing par excellence, it was drunk with great pleasure at 18° to accompany a marinated Galisse prime rib cooked on the oaths of one of the last bbqs.
