"A remarkable nose, a blend of pepper, dried flowers and a hint of balsamic. This vintage does, however, show a certain looseness on the palate, but the mastery is there" (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2021 - RVF) A fine wine for laying down that's starting to open up!

About the wine:
A remarkable nose, a blend of pepper, dried flowers and a hint of balsamic. This vintage does, however, have a more delicate mouthfeel, but the mastery is there!
About the domain :
On the beautiful, high-altitude granite terraces of the Fenouillèdes region, northwest of Maury, Gérard Gauby and a few associates acquired this certified organic estate. In 2016, Wendy Wilson replaced Gerald Stanley, who had run the estate since 2008. The red and white wines are vinified in barrels on the basis of very natural principles: indigenous yeasts, no acidification, no chaptalization. Never lacking in freshness or elegance, the reds have recently gained in structure and fleshiness. But from the very first vintage, in 2001, Le Soula has distinguished itself primarily through its whites, which have impressed us with their purity and intensity: the combination of Macabeu, Sauvignon Blanc and several other grape varieties works wonders. The wines are often worth waiting for to reach their full expression.
