Côtes Catalanes
To qualify for the PGI des Côtes Catalanes appellation, wines must be made from grapes harvested in the Pyrénées-Orientales department, with the exception of the four communes of Collioure, Port-Vendres, Banyuls-sur-Mer and Cerbère, which make up the Côte Vermeille vin de pays production zone.

The IGP des Côtes Catalanes appellation produces red and rosé wines. The PGI des Côtes Catalanes appellation may be supplemented by the name of a grape variety, in which case the wines must come from areas planted exclusively with the grape variety concerned. Vins IGP des Côtes Catalanes replaced the former vins de pays catalan, vins de pays des coteaux de Fenouillèdes and vins de pays des vals d'Agly on September 1, 2003.

Among the IGP des Côtes Catalanes, Domaine du Clos des Fées, Domaine Boudau and Domaine Gauby are particularly noteworthy.

"A rancio made from white grapes aged in glass carboys in an oxidative environment, giving a dry wine full of richness while retaining balance and freshness.

"The winery perpetuates the tradition of old sweet wines and dry rancios assembled through various fusions: real treasures, like this blend of white Grenache and Macabeu draped in a beautiful amber color with hints of honey. The nose is a symphony of incredibly rich aromas: lychee, very ripe white fruit, vanilla, raisins, old champagne, cinchona, quince... The palate is of the same calibre, offering sovereign balance, volume, great freshness, a fine, elegant texture and infinite length. This airy, timeless rancio is a real class act. Fresh and rich, Laïs blanc is a compromise between northern identity and Mediterranean style. This blend of Maccabeu, Grenache Blanc and Grenache Gris is aged in barrels - both new and used - but reveals fresh floral notes. A fine Catalan white!

"A light, direct-pressed red to be enjoyed all summer long!

This 100% Grenache bears the name "Sinopia", borrowed from the red-orange pigment found in some of the estate's soils. Luscious aromas of raspberry, cherry and redcurrant line the palate. This is a wine to share with friends, over red meat or pizza!
