RVF
"One of the finest Roussillon wines with its honeyed and toasted notes".
"The 2018 Soula blanc is once again a very fine success, with its delicate toasty reduction, its melliferous notes that are beginning to take hold, the lovely tension on the palate and the delicate bitters on the finish. This remains one of Roussillon's very fine whites, which assumes its character as a high-altitude wine, invigorating and full-bodied". (RVF Guide 2024)

About the wine:
The 2018 Soula blanc is once again a very fine success, with its delicate toasty reduction, its melliferous notes that are beginning to take hold, the lovely tension on the palate and the delicate bitters on the finish. This remains one of Roussillon's very fine whites that assumes its character as a high-altitude wine, tonic and stretched.
About the domain :
On the beautiful, high-altitude granite terraces of the Fenouillèdes region, northwest of Maury, Gérard Gauby and a few associates acquired this certified organic estate. In 2016, Wendy Wilson replaced Gerald Stanley, who had run the estate since 2008. The red and white wines are vinified in barrels on the basis of very natural principles: indigenous yeasts, no acidification, no chaptalization. Never lacking in freshness or elegance, the reds have recently gained in structure and fleshiness. But from the very first vintage, in 2001, Le Soula has distinguished itself primarily through its whites, which have impressed us with their purity and intensity: the combination of Macabeu, Sauvignon Blanc and several other grape varieties works wonders. The wines are often worth waiting for to reach their full expression.
