Arnaud de Villeneuve - Rivesaltes Ambré 1970 (VDN)
3*Coup de Coeur
Hachette
"Almost half a century of waiting to discover this splendid amber. Admittedly, the original blond gold has taken on the amber color with auburn highlights from the patina of time, but the look is still lively, bright, and welcoming. On the nose, the aromas of white flowers and fresh fruit have disappeared, replaced by sweeter scents of honey, gingerbread, candied orange, and incense, with the original "spiciness" of morello cherry still present. This note is also perceived on the palate, which is devilishly mellow and tender, surprisingly full-bodied and supple, with a beautiful freshness to support it. A magnificent Rivesaltes of finesse, a beautiful wine to touch." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2019)
