Gueyze
Château de Gueyze in AOC Buzet is located between the villages of Bruch and Feugarolles, whose history dates back to the 12th century. In 1463, the estate was part of the uncultivated and abandoned lands given by the Lord of Brazalem to his vassal Jean de Fages. In exchange, the latter had to clear, cultivate, build on and populate the land he had received... the first vines probably date from this period.

Today, Château de Gueyze is the flagship property of the Cave des Vignerons de Buzet. 80 hectares in a single block, surrounded by woods and situated on the first slopes overlooking the Garonne valley. At Château de Gueyze, all the vineyard plots are over thirty years old, and thrive on gravel and clay-limestone soils. Low yields of 35 hl/ha enable us to extract the full potential of our terroir and translate it into Château de Gueyze wines. One of the benchmarks of the Buzet AOC.

This Buzet 2019 has a very intense nose with notes of black fruit underlined by fine touches of spice, toast and wood. The attack on the palate is very powerful, with remarkably well-coated tannins that are fine, elegant and full-bodied. This long-lasting aromatic wine is the perfect accompaniment to a fine piece of game!

A very fine Rosé from a confidential but highly qualitative appellation. The nose is fine and pleasantly expressive, with notes of red fruit. The attack on the palate is frank, with character and a tonicity brought this year by a fine acidity. The fruit notes then fill the mouth and give a very pleasant finish. One of the best rosés in the Southwest!
