Domaine Le Roc
Domaine Le Roc is owned by the Ribes family, who are committed to producing wines of character in the Fronton appellation d'origine contrôlée region of southwest France. At Domaine Le Roc, the vines are cultivated with the utmost respect for the land. The well-balanced vineyard is built around three grape varieties. Négrette, Fronton's original grape variety, is complemented by Cabernet and Syrah, all of which are given special attention, with concentration and ripeness the main concerns. Traditional vinification with long vatting times and time are the keys to success.

Behind the modest mud-brick farmhouse of Domaine Le Roc, the Ribes family is committed to producing wines of character. Their intentions are fully realized: Domaine Le Roc wines are fruity, authentic and generous.

"An adventurous Fronton, delicious from start to finish..."

"The color is a deep, intense red. The nose, as powerful as it is charming, blends fruity notes with the hint of violets and spices so characteristic of Négrette, associated here with Syrah. On the palate, this wine is both delicious and fine, rich without being lacking in drive, infused with cherry and wild strawberry fruit that lingers delightfully through to the finish, supported by perfectly blended oak (aged in 400L barrels and foudre) and devilishly silky tannins. Irresistible. (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

"A real treat!

"Complex on the nose, with violets, aniseed, pepper and black fruits, the palate needs to mellow, but has potential, less consensual young than its peers, this is an ambitious wine." (Le Guide des Vins Bettane & Desseauve) A fine bottle!

Domaine Le Roc - Le Classique 2016

Le Classique is a Fronton with aromas of black berries, toast and spices. Surprisingly full-bodied, it has a lovely aromatic intensity and peppery character on the palate. The spices are clearly present on the palate, giving it remarkable persistence... A fine bottle!

"This négrette unfurls a lovely, open, fruity fruit in this 2014 vintage. Without any heaviness, this red is fluid with a refreshing finish that makes it easy to drink." (Le Guide des bonnes affaires du vin 2016 - Gerbelle & Maurange)

New vintage, 2011 rated: RVF 15/20, Bettane & Desseauve 15/20 (Bonheur tout de suite)
La Saignée is a pretty rosé that opens with aromas of red berries and spices. Aging on fine lees gives it fatness, substance and aromatic persistence, making it ideal for serving throughout a meal, with Asian cuisine for example...
