"The color is a deep, intense red. The nose, as powerful as it is charming, blends fruity notes with the hint of violets and spices so characteristic of Négrette, associated here with Syrah. On the palate, this wine is both delicious and fine, rich without being lacking in drive, infused with cherry and wild strawberry fruit that lingers delightfully through to the finish, supported by perfectly blended oak (aged in 400L barrels and foudre) and devilishly silky tannins. Le Classique is a Fronton with aromas of black berries, toast and spices. Surprisingly full-bodied, it has a lovely aromatic intensity and peppery character on the palate. The spices are clearly present on the palate, giving it remarkable persistence... A fine bottle!
