Drink or Keep
A cuvée "trait d'union" between two grape varieties emblematic of the South-West and Bordeaux vineyards. A blend made right from the vinification stage, to create a complex, well-balanced wine in the style of a "New World" wine, characterized by fleshiness, finesse and candied fruit aromas. Pure pleasure!

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Domaine noté (guide 2023) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
Alain Brumont develops his personality through a style that takes wines from Madiran around the world under the label of Château Montus, which he bought in 1980. Brumont's cuvées often go against conventional wisdom, demonstrating his freedom in interpreting the terroirs' yellow and red clay subsoils, with gradients ranging from 20 to 40%. Tannat expresses itself in the château's three cuvées, Prestige, XL, Montus and La Tyre, and certainly delivers the most spectacular profile of this not-easy-to-handle Pyrenean grape.

Finally, perhaps more balanced than TORUS. All in all, just as much fun for less money. Why deprive yourself? I tasted it with a chicken merguez couscous A successful marriage
