Domaine du Mage

The Domaine du Mage, located in the South-West region, was acquired in 1990 by the Grassa family, who also own Château Tariquet. The Domaine du Mage produces, among other things, a 100% Syrah wine that is only made when vintage conditions are favorable. All of the wines are produced under the Vin de Pays des Côtes de Gascogne appellation. Fruity and elegant, Domaine du Mage wine is aged for 14 months in barrels, during which time it acquires structure and character.

The Grassa family has managed to preserve traditional farming practices. Honesty (not charging more than a product is worth), consistency (planting vines commits the winegrower for at least 30 years), order and respect (the plant gives its best when it is balanced, and we must also give back to nature what it gives us so generously). The vineyard fertilizers are organic. In order to limit the impact of treatments on the grape juice, the water used to dilute the active ingredients is partially demineralized and its pH is lowered. The result is impressive, and the use of phytosanitary products across the entire Domaine du Mage has been reduced by nearly 40%.
