Côtes du Lot
Côtes du Lot appellation wines were awarded the IGP (Indication Géographique Protégée) label in 2011. The appellation's terroir is located in the South-West region, close to the Cahors appellation, part of which it encroaches upon without merging, the Côtes du Lot PGI being subject to specific specifications.

TheCôtes du Lot appellation lies on the great limestone plateaux of the Causses du Quercy, benefiting from an oceanic climate tempered by continental influences and the presence of the two major rivers that cross it: the Dordogne and the Lot.

TheCôtes du Lot PGI is reserved for still red, rosé and white wines from the geographical area, as well as for white and rosé sparkling wines, which are also produced here, albeit on a limited scale. Colored wines are blended from Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Ségalin, Gamay and Merlot grapes. White wines are made from Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Viognier, Semillon or Chenin grapes. Red wines from the Côtes du Lot can be drunk young, rosés are deep in color and have acidic aromas, while white wines offer more complex aromatic palettes. Château du Cèdre wines are a fine example of what the Côtes du Lot terroir has to offer.

"A vintage full of sunshine and charm!

"As charming as ever, the handsome La Vigne just behind at Carbo has underlying fruit but, unlike last year, we prefer the square-jawed structure of the whole-wine Auxerrois." (Le Guide RVF 2024).

From a single parcel, located behind the Ilbert neighbors nicknamed "Carbo", Malbec reveals a very fruity, juicy style. Unusual for this grape variety, we love this crunchy delicacy!

This 100% Viognier white is a rarity in the Lot! An exception born of Pascal Verhaeghe's love of white wines. Here, he delivers a surprising cuvée, both for its finesse and rich aromatic palette, and for the magic the winemaker has brought to its creation... Not to be missed!
