« Tannat, cabernet-sauvignon et pinenc pour ce vin sur les fruits noirs et rouges mâtinés de tonalités fumées et mentholées. La bouche est souple et aromatique, adossée à des tanins enrobés et un léger vanillé. Un vin plaisant pour aujourd'hui. » (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2016)

Rated domain (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (Wines from this producer regularly win awards in the guide)

About the wine :

Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinenc for this wine of black and red fruits with smoky, mentholated tones. The palate is supple and aromatic, backed by coated tannins and a hint of vanilla. A pleasant wine for today.

About the domain :

Founded around 1850, this family-run estate has seen 6 successive generations. Following in the footsteps of his father Louis, Didier Barré, who settled here in 1983, contributed to the revival of Madiran, of which he was one of the standard-bearers. In 2017, sisters Claire and Marion Bortolussi (daughters of Alain Bortolussi of Ch. Viella) took over the destiny of this flagship 25-hectare estate, forging a partnership with wine merchant Lionel Osmin to manage the operation and market the cuvées.
