About the estate:

At 31, Vincent Alexis embodies the new generation of winemakers who are shaking up the Bergerac region. Until he arrived at the Pompois estate in 2009, his parents sold their entire production in bulk. The young man, who had gained experience working on estates around the world, changed course to bottle Bergeracs, Pécharmants, and Monbazillacs. He gradually began converting his 42 hectares to organic farming and produced his first vintage in 2010. Close to the fruit and without embellishment, the reds are lightly extracted and easy to drink, the spontaneity of the dry whites delights us, and the sweet whites reveal elegant and refreshing sugars. Delicious bottles for discerning bistro owners. Spotted in 2011 in our Red Guide to Wine Bargains, Vincent Alexis confirms his progress and fully deserves his place in this year's Green Guide.
