marsanne
great care

"The wine has a bright citrus color and opens with a super-clear, elegant and complex bouquet of crushed stones and bright, ripe fruit aromas. [...] this is a subtle, clear and refreshing chasselas, elegant, textured and structured with a stimulating, dynamic and saline finish. The wine is vibrantly fresh, despite having undergone malolactic fermentation and fermented in two stages, autumn 2018 and spring/summer 2019." (Wine Advocate 2020 - Stephan Reinhardt)

About the wine:

Grain Ermitage Président Troillet 2018 is pure, deep, fresh and fine, with a concentrated, aromatic nose, initially indicating more oak aromas than I remember from previous vintages, but which disappears with aeration. Rich and generous yet elegant, refreshingly pure and mineral on the palate, this is a full-bodied, complex, juicy and enduringly salty Marsanne with fine tannins and persistent mineral freshness. Another impressive wine. Tasted at Fully estate in January 2020.
