"The most concentrated expression of Kanonkop Pinotage: elegant, complex, and with sublime aging potential!"
"Winemaker Abrie Beeslaar shows the complexity and ageing potential of Pinotage in his wines. The Estate collection is proof of this. This vintage offers aromas of sweet spices and berries. The palate is full-bodied, with a good concentration of raspberries and red plums. A touch of licorice lingers on the finish. This wine is still young, but ready to drink now or cellar until 2035." Decanter
Wine rated (guide 2024) 93/100
About the wine:
The full palette of rich dark fruits, dark chocolate - high cocoa content - leather, charcoal and vanilla. Large quantities of dark fruit, a little warming alcohol with a slightly mentholated/herbaceous note, and the smoky breath of a good steak and embers. Very structured, with fine, enveloping tannins. Still very young, this is undoubtedly a wine with the legs to go a long way in the cellar.

Rated wine (guide 2024 ) 91/100
About the wine:
Pinotage Estate 2021 has a very slight reduction on the nose that highlights minty black cherries - well-defined and exuberant. The palate is medium-bodied, with a supple opening and lovely structure. White pepper and a touch of clove mingle with just the right amount of fruity sweetness on the finish, which ends on a note of graphite. 2024-2036
