About wine:
Columella 2022 has the lowest alcohol content ever bottled for this cuvée, at 13.2%. It is a blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault, and Tinta Barocca. This wine takes time to open up on the nose and is initially quite introspective, slowly unfolding aromas of potpourri, undergrowth, and wild red berries. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. Symmetry and concentration are definitely present—a Columella that is much "fresher" than older vintages, with a savory finish that invites you to come back for another sip. Eben Sadie said he would finish the rest of the bottle the night after my tasting... I understand why. 2026-2048
