Albert Boxler Estate
Domaine Albert Boxler is now run by Jean Boxler, who continues the family tradition by skillfully managing the 12.5-hectare estate located on the granite terroirs around Niedermorschwihr. Half the parcels are located on the Sommerberg and Brand Grand Crus, producing AOC Alsace and AOC Alsace Grand Cru wines of remarkable purity.

The Albert Boxler vineyard is unique in that most of it is planted on steep, terraced slopes, requiring manual labor that is often not easy. These efforts are reflected in all Albert Boxler cuvées, which undoubtedly gain in depth with each passing year.

"MAGISTRAL according to RVF

Jean Boxler disgorged a 2010 Crémant on the fly, which he had kept on laths for thirteen years and a few months. For him, Crémant is only as good as its ageing potential. His experience with this wine proves him right. A crémant of incredible vinosity, with notes of lightly cooked strawberries and a mouth that's as creamy as you could wish for, with a bubble that's all finesse because it's contained by the richness of this beautiful fruit. "A benchmark for Pinot Gris!

The first nose of this Pinot Gris Réserve reveals pretty notes of mandarin orange, pink grapefruit, mirabelle plum, apricot and white chocolate, followed by more herbaceous notes of mint and lime blossom, all in complexity and intensity. Madly energetic, the palate offers roundness and sensuality, beautiful tension and minerality, with spicy notes beautifully blended with citrus and smoky touches, for a gourmet, very long finish.

"Very fine citrus and floral aromas, pure and refined on the palate. Although the balance is richer than in the cuvée reserve, the fine acidity and bitterness will gradually unfold over time. This is a fine expression of Gewurztraminer on granite, with finesse and a beautiful, well-structured and balanced palate. A fine Grand Cru!
