Bettane & Desseauve
"Very spicy, powerful floral aromas, a dry wine that balances itself around its beautiful salinity on the palate, a style all too rare in Alsace." (Le Guide des Vins Bettane & Desseauve). Les Folastries takes its name from a collection of poems by Pierre de Ronsard; this is a seductive, poetic Gewurztraminer!

About the wine:
Very spicy, powerful floral aromas, a dry wine that balances itself around its beautiful salinity on the palate, a style all too rare in Alsace.
About the domain :
With courage and discipline, Céline and Isabelle Meyer manage the estate long run by their father Jean. Biodynamic viticulture shines through in wines with airy, pure, fresh, chiselled mouthfeel. The estate's two favorite grands crus are Hengst and Brand, where Riesling shines particularly brightly. Pinot Gris is part of a long tradition of dry wines, unfortunately not so common in Alsace.

At last, a truly dry Gewurz (spices), admirably long, superbly aromatic with a spicy body that invades your mouth and transports you elsewhere!
