"A rich, fine and harmonious bottle".

"Pale straw green. Lemon, minerals, licorice and green apple in the very precise nose and vibrant palate, complemented by notes of pear and strawberry tart. Dense, juicy and full-bodied (6g/l residual sugar and 5.5g/l total acidity), still very young, it gives an impression of power, but with particularly refined notes of green apple and pear tart that carry through to the long, punchy finish. Wonderfully aromatic on the mid-palate thanks to its excellent acidity; no malolactic was carried out, allowing the taste of green apple to shine through." (Vinous 2018). A must-have!

"Made from hillside vines planted in 1964, the Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Hengst 2011 is off-dry and reveals a very clean, fresh and powerful aromatic bouquet with floral and fruity scents. Rich, smooth and dynamic on the palate, in a classic style, it is full-bodied, with intense, fleshy fruit. It balances very well between the 14.5% alcohol, the 20 grams of residual sugar and a saline, refreshing finish leaving spicy notes and tension on the palate, but without the impression of unnecessary sugar. "This 2015 Riesling comes from two different parcels, one in the valley on old vines and the other on Rotenberg, on the northern slope opposite Hengst. The wine opens with a ripe, intense bouquet, yet retains brightness, elegance and minerality thanks to citrus scents and a flinty edge. Full-bodied, rich and spicy, the palate is dense, fairly concentrated and structured. Very expressive, this Riesling remains elegant and mineral. A tannic feel gives it structure and a long, compact finish. The fruit here is lush but well organized. Already ready to drink, it can age for at least another 10 years."
