"A great way to start!

This cuvée skilfully titillates the taste buds, never boring them, so much so that they are constantly salivating. It's always a pleasant surprise to discover its biting minerality and saline finish - an unmissable classic!

In addition to Alsatian cuisine, he gracefully emphasizes the iodized flavors of seafood and loves the language of salt: seafood, sea or freshwater fish, sushi, but also white meats with cream, goat's or ewe's milk cheeses...

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (guide 2022) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)

About the domain :

With courage and discipline, Céline and Isabelle Meyer manage the estate long run by their father Jean. Biodynamic viticulture shines through in wines with airy, pure, fresh, chiselled mouthfeel. The estate's two favorite grands crus are Hengst and Brand, where Riesling shines particularly brightly. Pinot Gris is part of a long tradition of dry wines, unfortunately not so common in Alsace.

Note and review by M. MASSIMILIANO G. Published on 30/10/2024

A very good Riesling with finesse, not too "in-your-face", with a lovely fruitiness that you don't necessarily expect. Some purists of straightforward Rieslings may not find it to their liking, but personally I drank it with sauerkraut and found it just right for the dish.
