"All the style of Mee Godard at a low price".
This 2018 Beaujolais Villages calls for gourmandise, but is nonetheless structured and rich, offering good cellaring potential. The winemaker's signature style is still evident in this cuvée, combining finesse and richness. A great way to discover the appellation and the domaine at a small price. Such a fine Beaujolais Villages for ageing at this price, we'd love to buy it!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (2021 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
COMMENTS retirement: 5 hectares in Morgon, on the most beautiful lieux-dits, Corcelettes, Grand Cras and Côte de Py! That was in 2013. Since he set up, Mee Godard has been making progress and building. A hectare of Moulin-à-Vent here, a new building there, and wines that continue to refine. The Godard style is all about pure, never sterile, airy yet structured wines that exude their origins. Add to this a greediness that may have been lacking in his earlier vintages, and you have the keystone of the superb 2017s. It's a shame there's so little of it!

Domaine rated (guide 2021) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
Trained as an oenologist but with no winemaking history, Mee made her dream come true when, in February 2013, she single-handedly took over the plots of an unsuccessful winemaker. Her pocket-sized estate is made up of very old vines in the best Morgon terroirs (Corcelette, Grand Cras, Côte du Py). A moulin-à-vent cuvée was added to the range in 2016. Mee Godard's free-spirited yet well-defined wines are on the rise!

Magnificent Beaujolais village. Beautiful tension, fruit but not too much, good length on the palate. Mee Godard's talent is evident from the moment you open the bottle.
