Domaine Laurent Martray
The Domaine Laurent Martray vineyard is planted on a soil of granitic rock, sand and silt. The vines are naturally 100% Gamay. At Domaine Laurent Martray, all work is done by hand, as the terrain allows very little mechanization. Yields are deliberately limited (pruning and thinning) in order to aim for optimum quality, producing Brouilly and Côte de Brouilly wines of fine substance and luscious fruitiness.

The Mas de Bagnols cuvée is born of century-old vines, and is adorned with notes of black cherry, morello cherry... The noble tannins of the barrel complement and blend harmoniously with the richness of the wine's tannins. A very typical Brouilly, for fine dining!

Alongside Laurent Martray' s own vineyards, he also works in partnership with Jean-Marie Demontaix on these Mas de Bagnols vines, superbly situated in a cirque at an altitude of 400m and perfectly south-facing. This Coeur de Fruit is a fine Brouilly cuvée, with a gourmet, mineral character and the small, tight tannins characteristic of the appellation, as well as aromas of fresh fruit, cherries and fine peppery notes... "Complex, racy nose of tobacco and dried fruit. Tight and concentrated on the palate, with a long, refined, well-balanced, taut finish". More powerful than the Loïs brouilly, the 2008 cuvée "Les Feuillées" proves superbly successful, with a chewy, fleshy texture and the Laurent Martray signature of perfect balance and generosity!

Cuvée Loïs 2008 is a simply superb Brouilly . Fresh and crisp, it's immediately seductive with its fine nose of cherries and sweet spices. We love the breed of the tannins and the beautiful expression of terroir on the palate. A guaranteed pleasure!
