This wine presents aromas of black fruits, cherries and sweet berries, mixed with spicy notes. Freshness on the palate and fleshy tannins give this cuvée excellent balance. The finish is long, with a touch of salinity. Gourmet at its best!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 90/100 (Vintage 2020)
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
The Mélinand family is based in Fleurie, but the 20-hectare estate covers 6 appellations, including the Fleurie (the most important), Chiroubles and Juliénas crus, and since the arrival of Mathieu, the son, a Morgon vineyard. 2015 seduced us, 2016 refined the style in a different way. 2017 confirms the lacy, long, undiluted profile, which we welcome. We only regret that some of the cuvées have a slightly sedate nose. All in all, a highly recommendable domaine with a refined style.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated wine (guide 2023) 1*Star (Vintage 2020) (Very successful wine)
Domaine noté (guide 2023) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
Created in 1970 in Fleurie by Jean-Jacques and Liliane Mélinand from family vines, the domaine was taken over by their son Mathieu in 2009. Mathieu, who previously vinified in Australia and New Zealand, now manages 20 ha of vines in 6 appellations, including 4 crus. A sure bet.

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Rated wine (guide 2023) 90/100 (Vintage 2020)
Domaine noté (guide 2023) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
Mathieu Mélinand took over the family's 20 hectares in 2008, after gaining experience in the southern hemisphere. Each of the four crus boasts a mature age, maintained by annual replanting of missing vines. All the wines are vinified with indigenous yeasts and aged in large casks. Their textures are full-bodied, but not extracted.
