Château Les Pierrères
Château Les Pierrères is owned by the Bordenave family from Bordeaux, who since the 1970s have run Château Haut Canteloup, whose 44 hectares of vines in the heart of the Premières Côtes de Blaye region produce rich, refined red, rosé, white and crémant wines. Château Les Pierrères, located in the Bordeaux region in the Blaye appellation, is one of these wines.

The vineyards of Château Les Pierrères are spread over two islets with two different terroirs. In the commune of Fours, the vines are planted on clay-limestone plateaux, giving excellent results in terms of richness and ripeness. The wines are fruity, concentrated and elegant. The vineyard is planted with the noblest Bordeaux varieties, with 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. Château Les Pierrères is made from the first two varieties. A second islet is located in the north of the department, in the commune of Saint Palais de Blaye. On these mostly south-facing slopes, Sauvignon grapes express themselves wonderfully, combining power and complexity. Here, white grape varieties find a particular affinity with this siliceous-gravelly terroir.

Notes : Guide Hachette 2** Coup de Coeur
The fruit of talented winemaking and top-quality ageing, this wine, blended from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, is a delightful combination of fruit and finesse. "It has a very dark color and an expressive nose of ripe black fruit. These aromas are confirmed on the supple palate, with perfectly blended oak and silky tannins". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2010)
