"This Merlot comes from parcels dedicated to it. Direct pressing and lees stirring. From the outset, the wine gives you the desire to savor it, right from the first scents of the bouquet. The bouquet is marked by freshness, with tangerine zest and raspberry notes. The freshness announced by the bouquet is perfectly relayed by the palate, right from the attack. The wine is crisp, juicy and literally boosted by the incisiveness of its acid structure. A salivating rosé that will delight many a palate". (Yves Beck 2024) - Born in 2009 from the Todeschini family's desire to create a winegrower's rosé. M de Mangot is the result of work in the vineyard and vinification worthy of a great white wine!

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)
About the domain :
Yann and Karl Todeschini have taken the measure of this family estate in Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse: it comprises 34 hectares of single vineyard on four types of terroir dominated by clay-limestone sectors. The wines are dense, powerful and compact, and must be aged or decanted 2 hours before serving.
Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2022) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
The vineyards, founded in 1951 by Jean Petit, comprise 37 ha in a single block of Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, on a terroir rich in asteriated limestone (Mangot, an ancient cru mentioned as early as 1510), and 16 ha in Castillon (La Brande), rigorously tended since 1989 by Jean-Guy and Anne-Marie Todeschini, joined in 2008 by their sons Karl and Yann. The vineyard has been fully certified organic since 2020, and is currently undergoing conversion to biodynamic viticulture.

About the domain :
First mentioned in 1546, Château Mangot has survived the centuries to become a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru in the commune of Saint-Etienne-de- Lisse, in the eastern part of the appellation. In 1952, Simone and Jean Petit bought Mangot with the idea of restoring the estate to its former glory. Within 30 years, they had increased the estate from 5 to 37 hectares. In 1989, their daughter and her husband, Anne-Marie and Jean-Guy Todeschini, took over, not without restructuring the vineyard and modernizing the facilities. In 2008, Karl and Yann, after studies and internships in France and abroad, joined their parents to bring enthusiasm, precision and modernity. What do these 3 generations have in common? One philosophy: to act simply and as naturally as possible, using common sense. In order to preserve the balance of nature, we have opted for the "lutte raisonnée" (integrated pest management) method. In the winery, we work on a parcel-by-parcel basis to ensure that each of the estate's 22 parcels expresses its full potential. The family also owns 25 hectares in Castillon, with Château le Brande.
