Château Mangot
As early as 1556, the Mangot vineyard was cited as a renowned viticultural entity. Château Mangot has thus survived the centuries to become a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru in the commune of Saint-Etienne-de- Lisse, in the eastern part of the appellation.

In 1954, Simone and Jean Petit marked a new turning point in the history of Château Mangot. Starting from scratch, their hard work and ambition enabled them to build up the 34 hectares of vineyards, hectare by hectare over the years. They also acquired Château La Brande in the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation.

In 1989, Anne-Marie, daughter of Jean and Simone, and her husband Jean-Guy Todeschin, aware of Mangot's potential, decided to explore and develop its terroirs. It was time for renewal. Restructuring of the vineyard, creation of terraces, construction and renovation of buildings. In the meantime, Château Mangot's vineyards obtain the Saint Emilion Grand Cru appellation.

In 2008, Karl and Yann, sons of Anne-Marie and Jean-Guy, joined them on the estate, bringing a new dynamic to Mangot. With a wealth of viticultural studies and experience behind them, they are constantly researching and questioning the technical limits, innovating and creating new vintages. The vineyard has been fully certified organic since 2020 and is in the process of converting to biodynamic viticulture.

Mangot's creation and development are based on a family and its values: enthusiasm, high standards and respect.

"The jewel in the crown of the Todeschini brothers, talented organic winemakers!

"Mangot 2020 proved magnificent, bursting with aromas of cherry, wild berry, rose petal, blood orange and bay leaf. Medium to full-bodied, supple and seamless, it's pure and vibrant, with a layered core of fruit, velvety tannins and a long, mouthwatering chalky finish. This is a brilliant wine that sells for a pittance and outshines many of its better-known neighbors." (Wine Advocate 2022)

"A winemaker's rosé created by the Todeschini family of Château Mangot!"

"This Merlot comes from parcels dedicated to it. Direct pressing and lees stirring. From the outset, the wine gives you the desire to savor it, right from the first scents of the bouquet. The bouquet is marked by freshness, with tangerine zest and raspberry notes. The freshness announced by the bouquet is perfectly relayed by the palate, right from the attack. The wine is crisp, juicy and literally boosted by the incisiveness of its acid structure. A salivating rosé that will delight many a palate". (Yves Beck 2024) - Born in 2009 from the Todeschini family's desire to create a winegrower's rosé. M de Mangot is the result of work in the vineyard and vinification worthy of a great white wine!

"The best value for money on the Right Bank ~ Terre de Vins "

"A pure velvet color, already magnificent, but nothing compared to the bewitching, rich nose, with its bright, intense, suave fragrances of black cherry, fruit leather and a subtle hint of Havana. A very full attack, followed by a tight, mineral palate. There was plenty of ripe substance, which the estate team brought to bear on elegance. Melted tannins, silky chewiness. Very great progress". (Terre de Vins 2020)
