About the domain :
The name refers to the powerful black horses used for harvesting in the 19th century, and became a brand in 1895, the oldest in Bordeaux. It was taken over in 1937 by the venerable Mähler-Besse trading house, founded in 1892 and co-owner of Château Palmer in Margaux. The estate covers 4.5 ha.
