Mechanical harvesting of grapes early in the morning, in cool conditions
Winemaking
Alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats at around 26°C, followed by gentle vatting for 2 to 3 weeks at 30°C. Run-off and pressing, separation of free-run and press juices. Malolactic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats at around 18°C.

In oak barrels and stainless steel vats and aged in wood for 12 months

Frank and intense, it harmoniously combines blueberry with an empyreumatic, toasty, toasted woodiness and a hint of mint.

About the domain :
In 1858, the Ducourt family settled at Château des Combes in Ladaux, a small village south-east of Bordeaux. It was under the impetus of Henri Ducourt, who settled there in 1951 and has since been succeeded by his children and grandchildren, that the family vineyard expanded to its present 450 ha, spread over 13 châteaux in the Entre-deux-Mers and Saint-Émilionnais regions. Philippe Ducourt has been at the helm since 1980.
