Parenchère Castle
The Château de Parenchère, whose foundations were laid in 1570 by Pierre de Parenchères, Lord of Fourgoignières, is located in the far east of the Bordeaux region, at the gateway to the Périgord. The estate, renovated in 1958 by Raphaël Gazaniol, covers 153 hectares in a single block and includes a total of 63 hectares of vines planted on the best plots of the property. These plots are located exclusively on hillsides, so that rainwater can drain away naturally without altering the quality of the grapes by causing them to swell excessively due to water stagnation.

Jean Gazaniol took over in 1977 and succeeded in building a reputation for the wines of Château de Parenchère that quickly spread beyond France's borders. He now works alongside the new shareholder, Mr. Per Landin, a Swedish wine enthusiast who fell in love with the estate in January 2005. Together, their goal is to serve the magnificent terroir of Parenchère by applying careful and rigorous techniques, seeking to demonstrate that great wines can come from lesser-known appellations.
