Château Caillivet
Visit Château Caillivet is owned by the Carrillo family, and is located in Mazères, 35 km south-east of Bordeaux. The Château Caillivet estate was created in 1997 by Philippe and his son Antoine, on family land. The first AOC Graves vintage was produced in 2001.

The vineyards of Château Caillivet comprises 7 hectares of vines on clay-gravel soil. The vines are cultivated with the greatest care: no use of chemical fertilizers, manual pruning and leaf removal, green harvesting to limit yields. Harvesting is done by hand, with 3 successive sortings in the vineyard and in the cellar. These rigorous standards are the hallmark of the AOC Graves du Château Caillivet suppleness and elegance, as well as gourmandise.

"A beautiful, concentrated red wine distinguished by a rich, full body that gives free rein to an exuberant expression of black fruit with excellent definition. It even gives the impression of having seen the barrel, even though it was only aged in vats" (Le Guide des bonnes affaires du vin 2015 - Gerbelle & Maurange). A red with a rich, velvety mouthfeel, revealing a minty, liquorice freshness of the finest effect...

Rating: Laarson & Del Monego 90/100
This lovely Bordeaux comes forward with notes of red fruit, spices and delicate oak. A peppery edge enhances notes of blackcurrant, raspberry and cherry. The attack is lively, followed by a well-structured mouthfeel and a long finish. A very pleasant red!
