Ce joli Bordeaux s'avance sur des notes de fruits rouges, d’épices, et un boisé délicat. Un côté poivré réhausse des notes de cassis, de framboise et de cerise. L'attaque est vive, puis le vin évolue sur une belle structure en bouche, avec une finale de bonne longueur. Un rouge très agréable !

Situé à Mazères, en appellation Graves, Caillivet est la propriété de la famille Carrillo. En 1997 Philippe et son fils Antoine créent le vignoble sur les terres familiales, soit 7 hectares plantés sur des sols argilo-graveleux ; l'encépagement fait appel au merlot (60%) et au cabernet-sauvignon - complétés par un peu de sauvignon et de sémillon, en blanc. Les premières vendanges ont donné naissance au millésime 2001.
