Gold Medal at the Vinalies Internationales (Concours des Oenologues de France)
In the heart of the Haut-Médoc, between Saint-Julien and Pauillac, Château Barateau extends its vineyards into the neighboring lands of the Grands Crus Classés La Tour Carnet, Camensac, Belgrave, Lagrange and Talbot. Its Prestige, from the very great 1996 vintage, can play unashamedly in the big league. Vinified by renowned Bordeaux oenologist Eric Boissenot, it is aged 100% in new barrels, and possesses the breed of a Grand Cru that earned it the coveted Gold at the Vinalies Internationales!
