"Regularly among the best Cru Bourgeois, Belle-Vue 2011 has a dark ruby/plum color, abundant fruit, good purity and ripeness, Margaux-like finesse, as well as floral notes, supple tannins and medium body. This revelation of the vintage should be drunk over the next 3-5 years. The 2011 blend is 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot and a whopping 23% Petit Verdot." (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker)

Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Rated (2015 guide) 15.5/20 (Very good wine)
About the wine:
Suave, dense, tightly woven with racy tannins, punctuated by a delicate finish.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (2015 guide) 1*Star (Very successful wine)
Domain rated (guide 2022) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the wine:
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (46%), Merlot and a not inconsiderable proportion of Petit Verdot (23%), this 2011 has a lot going for it: a deep color, a lovely bouquet with discreet notes of red fruit and spices on a toasted background, elegant, youthful tannins; everything is in place to produce a very fine bottle in the near future.
About the domain :
Over the last few years, this small, southern Médoc cru has established itself as a safe bet. The wines here have been flawlessly consistent for several vintages now. A particular feature is the strong presence of Petit Verdot, a grape variety that has given rise to an original cuvée. Offering excellent value for money, the wines produced here have a place in any wine-lover's cellar.

Rated wine (2016 guide) 17.5/20 (Excellent)
About the wine:
A very fine, full-bodied wine, with a woody, finely toasted finish. The body has structure and length, with a more pronounced tannic base that needs a little time. It will be at its best after a good five years' cellaring. The slightly higher price is fully justified!
