About the wine:
Château Citran 2019 is fragrant and full of life on the nose. Succulent and supple, it has energy and vibrancy, full of raspberries and red cherries. The palate is light and airy, fresh, juicy and full of personality. Tasting period: 2022 - 2034 (Georgina Hindle)
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Rated (guide 2022) 89/100 (Very good wine)
Domaine noté Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
Citran 2019 reveals itself well in bottle, revealing aromas of cassis, red plums and subtle notes of sweet earth. Medium-bodied, lively and discreet, with powdery tannins and lively acidity, it concludes with a firm, youthful finish. While not the most demonstrative 2019 Bordeaux, it will reward bottle age to deliver a classic middleweight (William Kelley).
About the domain :
Vinous A. Galloni
Rated wine (guide 2022) 90/100
About the wine:
Château Citran 2019 has developed well with age. Luscious notes of red cherry, mint, tobacco, licorice, rose petal, cinnamon and dried herbs grace this expressive Haut-Médoc. Notes of cedar, menthol and spices persist. The 2019 is a little rustic, but offers plenty of character (Antonio Galloni).
James Suckling
Rated wine (guide 2022) 92/100
About the wine:
Notes of blackcurrant and blackberry with hints of clove, licorice, tobacco and hazelnut. Medium-bodied, with ripe, velvety tannins. Juicy and round with a fruity finish. Citran 2019 needs two or three years to soften and open up.

Dense purple hue. Bouquet of good intensity, characterized by fruity and mineral notes. Tasty and inviting on the palate. The wine has body, character and charm. A beautiful symbiosis links all the wine's elements, from tannins to acidity. Juicy, tasty and stimulating. Well done! 2023-2033
Vert de Vin
Rated (2020 guide) 90-91/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About the wine:
The nose is elegant and fine-grained. There are notes of pulpy strawberry, crushed boysenberry and, more lightly, fleshy black berries, combined with fine touches of blueberry, zan, chocolate and very discreet hints of morello cherry and vanilla. The palate is mineral, fruity and balanced, with a fine acidic structure, smoothness, precision and fine grain. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackberry, pulpy/juicy boysenberry, pulpy blackcurrant and, more lightly, raspberry, combined with fine touches of violet, blueberry and discreet hints of zan, tonka bean and a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut/vanilla. Good length. Precise, fine tannins.
Anthocyanes - Yohan Castaing
Rated 91/100
About the wine:
Black fruit, lightly spiced for a full bouquet with notes of graphite on aeration. Moderately dense on the palate, with firm, structuring tannins and a slightly graphite finish. A fine ensemble in a vintage that suits it particularly well.
