Château La Lagune
Château La Lagune is a wine estate producing a Grand Cru Classé in the Haut-Médoc AOC. Oenologist Caroline Frey has been at the helm of the estate since 2004, and has restored Château La Lagune to its former glory. Today, Château La Lagune is in full evolution, and the significant progress achieved in recent years confirms her talent.

Château La Lagune 's 80 hectares are planted with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot. Since 2004, the vineyard has been managed using integrated farming methods: Château La Lagune's vines are cultivated with the utmost respect for the environment.

"Wonderful: could this be the best vintage in years?"

"Château La Lagune 2019 offers exquisite transparency on the nose - one of the most expressive wines of the vintage from this terroir. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, taut and fresh, quite saline with a very integrated, balanced finish that lingers on the palate. Wonderful: could this be the best Château La Lagune in years" (Vinous 2023) - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

"This 2nd organic wine has a new label!

"The nose is bright, the palate dark and quite serious. No massive acidity, but the fruit is beautifully fine: sculpted and balanced, even showy and bright. A linear style with a push from start to finish, then a strong minty character on the finish." (Decanter 2022)

"An impressive vintage

"Once again, La Lagune lives up to its reputation. Right from the start, this 2015 impresses with the depth of its almost black color, shining with a thousand reflections. Equally superb, the aromas of ripe red fruit, blackcurrant and licorice are in perfect harmony with fine woody notes. Carried by dense, rich tannins, the palate offers imposing volume and a suave evolution towards a concentrated, long and harmonious finish. A tasty Haut-Médoc, for a long time to come" (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2019) - Delivery in wooden cases possible for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on country and shipping method selected).

"The texture is incredible"

"This is wonderful and perhaps the best La Lagune since 1982. Full-bodied and whole, but the texture is incredible, mellow and silky that makes it shaped and beautiful. Thick and melting on the palate. Lots of forest floor, tar and cassis. Very persistent finish. Energy. Organically grown grapes." (James Suckling 2017) - A prodigious talent! - Delivery in wooden case for all orders of 12 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).

In a very flattering 2015 vintage, Moulin de La Lagune 2015 boasts excellent ripeness and a profound balance between aromatic richness and concentration. Gentle extraction gives it the style of the great Haut-Médoc wines, revealing its finesse and elegance. A great second wine that's ready to drink or that will evolve gracefully in your cellar.

"On the road to the châteaux, this is the first Cru Classé that visitors from Bordeaux come across. This estate enjoys a solid reputation, and this vintage will not weaken it. Clear and deep, the wine's color is full of promise. And what follows does not disappoint: expressive and powerful, with notes of cocoa and vanilla, the bouquet matches the rich, well-balanced palate. The tannic concentration and length will guarantee excellent ageing potential". (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2010) - Delivery in wooden case for any order of 12 bottles of this wine (excluding Point Relais delivery).

"Another success for owner Caroline Frey, La Lagune 2010 delivers an essential tasting experience, with notes of plum compote, blackberry, kirsch and blackcurrant. The wine is also richly smoky, with hints of pencil sharpening. Full-bodied and pure, combining elegance and power, this is a brilliant, very affordable wine. Think of it as a blend of 2005 and 2009. Superb" (Wine Advocate 2013 - Robert Parker)

"This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot has plenty of tannin, an impressive ruby/dark plum color, and notes of vanillin, cassis and undergrowth, in a medium-bodied profile. Cellar it for several years and enjoy it over the next 10 to 15 years. It doesn't eclipse the 2009s and 2010s, but it's a fine bottle for the vintage" (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker) - Delivery in wooden cases for orders delivered in France of 12 bottles of this wine.

"Tasted after ageing, this 2009 is still firm, but will quickly open up to beautiful notes of cinnamon, blackberries and jammy blackcurrants. A wine bursting with charm, full-bodied and chewy". (Les Meilleurs Vins de France 2012 - Gault & Millau). A jewel of the Haut-Médoc!

Château La lagune is a
jewel of the Haut-Médoc. This 2005 opens with aromas of raspberry, morello cherry and floral notes. The palate is powerful and opulent, with toasty and spicy notes, in the tradition of the estate's great wines.
