Notes : Robert Parker 87/100, Guide Hachette citation
"A wine of pure Merlot with a very dark color, an open bouquet and great finesse, revealing a good grape well aged in barrels (twenty months). The palate reveals very ripe fruit. Very supple, it is underpinned by tannins that have already melted, without any aggressiveness. Serve this 2008 soon with red meats and hard cheeses, or wait two or three years. Guide Hachette des vins

Rated wine (2012 guide) Cited (Successful wine)

About the wine:

Her family was in the crystal industry. Catherine Péré-Vergé became interested in the contents of glasses, and gained a foothold over twenty years ago in Pomerol, where she farms three crus. In 2000, she set her sights beyond the Barbanne stream - which marks the appellation boundary - and acquired this vineyard in lalande-de-pomerol, established as its name suggests on a gravelly terroir. The result is a wine of pure Merlot with a very dark color, an open bouquet and great finesse, indicative of a good grape well aged in barrels (twenty months). The palate reveals very ripe fruit. Very supple, it is underpinned by tannins that have already melted, without any aggressiveness. Serve this 2008 soon with red meats and hard cheeses, or wait two or three years.

About the wine:

Tasty aromas of grilled herbs, smoky oak, earth, redcurrant and cherry emerge from this dark plum-colored, slightly tannic wine. Drink over the next 5-6 years.
