"A powerful, accomplished and ambitious wine!

"The nose is subtly graphite and chalky. The attack is lively and fresh, with dominant aromas of blackcurrant. The tannins then tighten and lengthen, before concluding with salinity. The wine is designed for finesse". (Terre de Vins 2021)

Wine rated (guide 2023) 94/100

About the wine:

This beautiful estate at the western end of the Margaux appellation has produced a ripe, supple wine. Black fruit, oak and ripe tannins give it a generous feel. The wine will be ready to drink from 2026.

About the wine:

Blackcurrant, mushroom, peel and black cherry. Some tar. Full body with juicy, chewy tannins and a long, flavorful finish. A solid red for the vintage. Drink after 2025.

Rated wine (guide 2022) 93/100

About the wine:

Château d'Arsac stands out for its linear character, its ability to demonstrate its very good level from the very first seconds and to stay the course right through to the finish... and beyond! Even though it enters the scene on tiptoe, the wine quickly sets the stage by asserting its youthfulness through a little reduction, but also by demonstrating its level through its plurality. Yes, reduction is one of wine's fundamental rights! Well held by serene, powerful and smooth tannins, the wine underlines its freshness and its ability to defy the times to come. Now it's time to give it a rest! 2026-2045

Vert de Vin

Vert de Vin

Rated wine (guide 2021) 91/100 ( Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)

About the wine:

The nose is aromatic, discreetly tight, precise and offers a certain intensity. Notes of ripe blackcurrant, violet, lily and, to a lesser extent, sweet blond tobacco are combined with hints of pulpy berries, strawberry, fine graphite, a discreet hint of pepper (in the background) and vanilla. Fruity and well-balanced on the palate, with greediness, richness, juiciness, minerality and tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of creamy blackberry, pulpy wild blackcurrant and, more lightly, juicy/fresh red berries, combined with touches of racy minerality as well as fine hints of small fresh flowers and a subtle touch of cardamom. Good length.
