"Charmes de Kirwan 2011 is a round, suave and fruity second wine, very charming indeed." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2015). A Margaux that delivers intense fruity notes of cherry and blackcurrant on the nose. Surprisingly round on the palate, supple and fleshy for such a young wine. A lovely sweetness accompanies very supple, unctuous tannins... Delivery in wooden case for orders delivered in France of 6 bottles of this wine.

Chateau Kirwan
Margaux
Expert opinion
Bettane & Desseauve
Estate rated (2017 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
A magnificent new vat room, requiring considerable investment for what is still a family estate, will help the cru to move forward. On a very homogeneous terroir, typical of Margaux, the cru can produce wines of great style!
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rated (2015 guide) 1*Star (Very successful wine)
Rated domain (2017 guide) Awarded wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the wine:
Commanded by a beautiful 19th-century mansion surrounded by a 2-hectare park with century-old trees, the estate extends over 37 hectares of vines at the top of the Cantenac plateau, a choice terroir if ever there was one, two-thirds of which are planted on a gravelly hillside around the château and on more clayey soils to the west. Owned since 1925 by the Schÿlers, one of the oldest families and houses in the Bordeaux wine trade, Kirwan is also a Mecca for wine tourism in the Médoc.

Estate rated (2017 guide) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with good production levels, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
The Schÿler family, who own the vineyard, want to make it one of the appellation's benchmarks. To achieve this, they have invested heavily, and a new phase of work has just begun. Under Philippe Delfaut's leadership, the cru has gained in refinement and elegance, but some wines have nonetheless appeared a little strict in recent years. Is this a temporary phase? We'll have to keep a close eye on them. It's also worth noting that Kirwan has become a benchmark for wine tourism in the Médoc.

this wine is undrinkable. I can't understand why a great château would compromise its reputation by selling such a beverage under its own name!

Insignificant, no fruit, no relief, catastrophic value for money, at 5€ I won't take it. And let me add that for me, there was no problem with the bottle.
